DV Lottery Photos
Photos of the applicants are necessary for to apply for the diversity visa lottery program. The E-DV online entry form requires all applicants and dependants to submit their photos in the digital file format. If the applicant doesn’t upload the image file in the application form then the application form will not be accepted by the dv lottery program.
For the DV lottery photo the US State department has given some instructions. Those who want to apply must follow it. Also the photos must be recently taken colour photos. Recently means within 6 months of the application date.
Those who are married must include their spouse details and an individual image file of the spouse. Those who have eligible children also must include their details and the children's individual image files along with the details. Failure to do so will end in disqualification.
DV Photos can be taken with a digital camera by setting the required pixel sizes and can be used. Or you can use an image scanner to scan a paper photo according to the instructions and it can be used to apply with the forms.
Family photos and group photos are not accepted.
Black and White photos are not accepted for the Green Card Lottery program.
If the photos are not acceptable your application may be rejected at any time from the US visa Lottery.

A new digital photograph must have a resolution of 600 pixels wide by 600 pixels high, and a color depth of 24-bit color. If an existing photo is scanned, it must have a resolution of at least 150 dots per inch (dpi). The original photo should be 2 x 2 inches in size. The same rules regarding the depth of color apply. The maximum image size accepted will be twohundred-forty thousand (240,000) bytes. Images should be taken directly facing the camera in front of a light-colored background. The face should cover between 50% and 69% of the height of the image.
